This is a small and very personal kite camp with two world class Croatian kiters/IKO certified instructors, running it in their home town at the tip of Istria a few months every year. Accommodation in their parents rental apartments and personalized service from start to finish. Very good kite spots on all wind directions due to the location. Their equipment is top class, partially new, boat, minibus, kites, boards, +++.
If the wind is disappointing a day or two, they will fill it with all sorts of other activities at not extra cost. Lots of alternatives, including horse riding, biking, cable park, adrenaline park and much more.
They bring great home cooked food from one of the mums to the beach and take you out to eat a couple of evenings too. And will help you find great places the the other days, including helping you with affordable transportation. I was there with my two daughters of 16 and 18, and we had a great time. In fact the best kite camp ever for us :-)
Absolute fantastic kite camp & experience!
I came to Istria two years ago in May and really wanted to learn kite surfing as my husband was very much into the sport and I was fascinated by the idea to learn to kite surf as well. However, I had a lot of respect and was quite anxious in the beginning. Thanks to the fantastic training skills and patience of Petar and Dean while doing my first steps with the kite I could overcome my fears and started to gain confidence in how to handle the kite. They allowed the appropriate time for me to progress, always encouraging me to take the next step when and when I felt insecure again they in every situation knew how to help me face the challenge. Coming to Istria to learn kite surfing with Petar and Dean was the best idea as I not only fell in love with the sport but also gained new fantastic friends and have followed them to many kite destinations they went to ever since. I am now independent riding everywhere with a lot of pleasure and actually it gives me a lot of joy seeing my teachers - who got me to this level - proud and happy.
I can thus highly recommend Kite Camp Istria to all people who want to learn, improve or just enjoy kite surfing - but also want to highlight that there is a lot more to do in Istria - I was impressed by the beautiful nature, the amazing food and all the different activities and trips we did while being there thanks to our hosts. So - no matter if the wind blows every day - you will always gain unforgettable experiences!

I got to know Petar and Dean in Istria in 2017 - a great team! Very professional and very kind! I had a few kite lessons in Istria and Montenegro with Dean who is a really good and patient teacher, and now I am able to kite by myself! We will guide you through a wonderful adventure full of action, nice places, domestic cuisine, and good vibes! You can expect great kite spots and many other activities that we offer in our program. Beginner or advanced rider, we can guarantee great lessons and kite session with our certified instructor, who are always ready to give all the best for your improvement.

Location
Kite Camp Istria is the first kite school in Istria region established in 2016. in the small seaside village of Ližnjan. Ližnjan is a little pearl and offers two great kite spots, friendly people and amazing nature.
The first kite spot is situated in Ližnjan where we start with the lessons from the beach or our boat, as well as advanced kitesurfers.
The second one is located 5 minutes from Ližnjan in the lagoon of Medulin, where you will find flat and shallow water plus the possibility of doing a downwind tour.
Depending on the wind direction we choose which spot is better for lessons and sessions.
Liznjan spot if Bura(NE) wind comes, Medulin lagoon spot when we get Jugo(South) wind.
If the strength of the wind is not convenient for lessons you will be able to choose one of the other activities in our program or learn more about kiteboarding theory.

Kiting on different spots depends on wind direction, no matter which level of kiting, we will take care of you and improve your skills! Our equipment is new and high quality, but if you prefer to use your own just let us know.

Kitesurfing & Lessons (incl. IKO Card Level)
Are you interested in kitesurfing? Now you have the opportunity to try it! You can participate in the training and get your IKO license. Are you an advanced kitesurfer and want to learn new jumps, tricks and different techniques that allow you to bring your experience level even higher? You will get that (and even more) with our team. With our experienced trainers, we guarantee you a high-level quality, patience and, of course, fun during those hours spent on the beach.
Depending on the wind conditions (wind 15-30 knots), we have 2 different kite spots. One is in Ližnjan and the other one is in Medulin. In Ližnjan the coast is flat and the sea is deep and wavy. Both locations are offered for both the beginners and the advanced kitesurfers. On the first location (Ližnjan), the beginners start their kitesurfing lessons from a boat, while advanced kiteboarders can choose whether they want to start from the beach or also from the boat. In Medulin, we do our activities in a lagoon. The sea there is shallow and flat. If you feel like it, it is possible to do a downwind tour otherwise we surf from one island to the other.
If the wind strength isn’t enough for you, you have the opportunity to dive into the theory with your coach, or participate in other activities offered.
When it comes to kitesurfing, we provide you with the following equipment: Harness, Kite, Board, Wetsuit, Vest, Boots and a Helmet.
Petar Pavlović and Dean Boljun are the two instructors in charge of the Kite-Team. They offer coaching sessions in English, Italian and Croatian.

Wakeboarding & Lessons
Under the expert guidance of our coaches, beginners will be able to learn how to handle their first cable laps, while the advanced participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice tricks and driving on fixed obstacles.
We provide you all the necessary equipment. The Board, a Wetsuit, a Vest and a Helmet are all available on location.

Adrenaline Park Medulin (Claiming & More)
The Adrenaline Park is located in Medulin and it offers a high ropes course on trees and a zip-line that stretches almost along the entire park. This will guarantee excitement and provide a memorable experience for the whole group, no doubt about it. Different parts are available for children and adults.
In the park, there is a bar where you can refresh and recharge your batteries after a tour of attractions that will pump you with adrenaline.

Bike Tours in Kamenjak
On this tour, we drive through the beautiful wooded terrain along the coast of Kamenjak. At the southern tip of Kamenjak, we cycle through half of the nature park’s beaches until we reach the beautiful Safari bar, which is made mostly out of driftwood and is situated in the middle of vast green surroundings. Here we take a break for lunch and complimentary drinks. You can of course also go swimming, sunbathing, cliff jumping or just take part in some of the fun activities within Safari bar. Once we get our energy levels back up, we continue with the bike tour on the other side of Kamenjak’s coast.
We provide you with different sizes of specialized mountain bikes and helmets.

Standup Paddling (Island to Island)
With this activity, you can really enjoy Mother Nature in all its glory. We start from Pješćana Uvala with easy paddling on a big surfboard around the islands. First, we visit a small cave and continue the course in the direction of a Beach bar where we stop for drinks. Along the way we are paddling close to the coast and will be stopping to swing from a rope and jump into the sea. The tour continues around the Frašker island. Then we stop on the island opposite to it – Fraškerić, which is very famous for its diving locations. Here we stop for lunch and a swim. After that, we are going to the island of Fratarski, which is a famous summer camping place for locals and tourists. There we can see nice cliffs (some are 10+ m high) and (who dares) can jump from them.

Boat Tour
The boat trip starts in the charming harbour of Medulin where you will enjoy a welcoming drink after boarding. The tour begins with panoramic view of Medulin's archipelago. After a 50 minutes cruise, the boat arrives to the southern most point of Istria, the Park of Nature Kamenjak, well known for its breathtaking riffs and underwater caves. Following your wishes you will be able to enjoy a refreshing swim with our guide inside a typical istrian cave for a 30 minutes break. The ride continues around “Porer”, the former austro-hungarian lighthouse, built in 1846. We will then be stoping for a nice meal on the boat where you will be served a vegetarian, fish or meat dish according to your taste and a selection of drinks also included. For the last part of the cruise, we sail towards “Ceja” where we will have a 2 or 3 hours stop to relax and enjoy some sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling or even food and drinks at a local restaurant-bar. Our boat trip will be ending by slowly heading back to Medulin.

Kayaking
We start the tour from Stupice (Premantura) and are paddling until the first island of Ceja, which is famous for being inhabited by big colonies of rabbits. We continue the tour to the Kolombarica beach. Kolombarica beach is rocky with high cliffs, which are suitable for jumping in the water. The beach is also known for Velika Kolombarica cave which you can explore and dive in. Afterward, we go to the amazing nature bar – “Safari Bar” and there you get a nice lunch with a drink. When we get our energy levels back up, and you are ready for more action, we continue the tour to Fenoliga, which is well known for its dinosaur traces. We then continue to Školjić for a drink and head back to our starting point – Stupice (Premantura).

Villa Tatiana
Villa Tatiana is situated in a quiet residential area in Ližnjan, a typical Istrian village, only 9 km from Pula airport.
The property is ideally located between our two kite spots (2 km from Ližnjan kite spot and 2 km from Medulin kite spot) and 10 minutes walk from Ližnjan center. Within a few minutes walk you may also find local supermarkets (nearest grocery store 500 meters away), cafes and traditional Istrian restaurants.
This holiday villa of 180 m² is ideal for families with children or a group of friends. The property also offers 3 parking places for its guests.
Villa Tatiana has a capacity of 12 guests and from the 10th of September possibility of renting just the apartment of 5 guests capacity.

Enter Villa Tatiana to discover the large sunbathed terrace on the front side of the house where you can relax by the peaceful swimming pool and sunbeds. Enjoy lunch and dinner outside with the stone barbecue and outdoor dining area. A comfortable chilling zone under a covered terrace perfect for having a nap outside. Privacy is guaranteed by a hedge, surrounding the property making a fully private outdoor space.
In this cozy holiday home, you will find a comfortable living room with airconditioning (large television with cable/satellite channels, DVD player and WIFI provided). A large dining room and a fully equipped kitchen (oven, dishwasher, microwave …).
The house is composed of 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with one bathtub; the towels and bed linen are featured and you may also find a washing machine.
From September 10 you can also only rent the 5 guests apartment where you will find: One living room, one kitchenette; table and chairs; 2 bedrooms with one bathroom and a nice small terrace to enjoy the sunsets in Croatia.

We are Petar and Dean, two passionate kiteboarders and certified instructors traveling around the world catching wind and waves. We started with Kite camp Istria in 2016. in our hometown Ližnjan which is a hidden kite spot paradise.
Our first goal is to carry on the passion for kiteboarding, make you learn new skills and create unforgettable memories for you!

- How many people are in a kite camp group?
The ideal number for us is between 2-5persons, perfect for family or group of friends
- What languages are spoken?
We speak English, Italian, French, Portuguese and Croatian.
- What is the chance of wind?
On the last 6 years statistic the percent in September and October various from 30-60% of windy days
- How far is the market?
The nearest market is 500m from the accommodation, hypermarket is 5 km from the accommodation.
- Do we have any free time?
Every evening we will give you two options for the next day activities depending on the forecast and your wishes. Before and after the activities you have your time for rest or other activities that are not offered in the package you choose. We recommend you a unique experience of the TUNA boat trip, which costs 100 € per person.
- What if i’m vegetarian or vegan or have special dietary requirements?
Please let us know about it when booking your place in Kite Camp and we cater to your dietary requirements.
- Which other activities you recommend?
Tuna Boat trip is a fishing boat on which you will experience the strength of our sea and amazing tastes of fresh tuna and other fishes merging with homemade olive oil.
- What type of clothing should we bring?
Clothing for kite lessons is insured by Kite Camp Istria. In that period the temperature usually varies from 15 to 25°C.
- Is there any option to rent a car?
You can rent a car for 200- 350kn per day that equals 30 to 50 € per day.
- Prices for taxi?
Ližnjan – Medulin 50kn / 7.50 € Ližnjan – Pula 200kn / 25 €
- How far is the beach from the apartment?
The nearest beach is 5 min by car or 10min to Medulin camp.
- Which application we can use to check the forecast?
Wind guru, wind finder and windy. Usually, the strength of the wind is from 15 to 40 knots.
- At what time we should be ready for the day?
Every night we will talk about the next day, but approximately around 9.00 o`clock.

Right tips at the right time.
I always knew the risks of kitesurfing and I have seen a lot of bad videos with "kitemares" before.
Still, I decided to take a chance. From the first day, first lessons ,my first kite flying, Petar and Dean made me fill very confident and safe very quickly with their smooth way of teaching. You get the right tips with small details at the right time which make you progress instantly. Other then lessons they are very cool guys to have fun in the free time as well so you won't be bored. To conclude i'm was very satisfied with the way they taught me kitesurfing. Very very happy with the sport and I recommend Petar and Dean to everyone. 🤙🤙
